The Finance Team of St. John is happy to report that we are in the black by $8,166 through the month of April. This is great news as the church typically sees a decline in income through the summer months as Alaskans spend the summer months enjoying our beautiful state. We are also happy to report that we continue to receive donations toward our goal to pay off the church mortgage and eliminate the church from all debt. To date, $165,000 of extra payments have been made toward principal loan balance, leaving approximately $385,588 remaining on the mortgage. A purchase and sale agreement is being reviewed by the property owner, and we hope to have the sale finalized soon. Proceeds for the purchase of the land have been paid for and made possible by the generous donations of our congregation.
