St. John youth are always active in the community, volunteering their time to serve others. They partner locally with organizations like Special Olympics, Bean's Cafe, Habitat for Humanity, and FISH Food Bank. Our youth also take the lead in our long term relationship with the Methodist Church in Ocean View, South Africa, traveling to South Africa every four years.

Youth also serve as baristas at Beans from Above, volunteer with childcare, and participate in a variety of other fundraisers around the year that support our neighbors here in Anchorage and around the world.

2019 Youth Mission Immersion Update!

We had over 80 youth and adults participate in our Youth Mission Immersion! It was a great, soul filling weekend of worship, fun, fellowship and service to others. I am so proud of our youth and all that they do to make this world a little better place. Thank you also to all of our wonderful adults who helped and to the families for supporting your youth as they chose to spend their time volunteering.

We are blessed with many amazing adult youth leaders! They volunteer their time to hang out at youth group on Wednesdays, lead Sunday classes, plan and lead retreats, serve in the community alongside the youth, and travel on mission trips. Contact Robbie if you'd like to know more about serving with our youth.
