Our journey as disciples of Jesus Christ is firmly rooted in our experience of community and connection with other disciples. We strive to help you find ways of being deeply connected and engaged within this community of faith.

Sunday Mornings

We gather for worship three times on Sunday mornings: 8am, 9:15am, and 11:30am. Our 8am service is shorter (about 40 minutes), smaller service, while 9:15 and 11:30 are about an hour long and include programming for children. Communion is celebrated every first Sunday of the month.

In between the 9:15 and 11:30 services there are opportunities for children, youth, and adults of all ages to connect through a wide range of small groups. We call this [Worship+].

Wednesday Nights

Feed your whole family - body, mind, and soul - with us on Wednesday nights during the school year. A delicious home cooked meal is served from 5:15 - 6:05 for a suggested donation of $6/person, $24/family. Worship, a Rewind of Sunday's worship, starts at 5:55. At 6:30 there are classes and groups for all ages.

Children are a vital part of our life together at St. John. Children are invited and welcome to participate fully in the life of the church alongside adults and through age-specific programming offered Sunday mornings at 10:30 and Wednesday nights at 6:30. To learn more contact our Director of Children's Ministry, Erynne DeVore.

St. John youth (grades 7-12) meet Wednesday nights at 6:30 for fun games, fellowship, learning opportunities, and small peer groups. They meet on Sunday mornings at 10:30 to grow deeper in faith and explore rotating topics. Our youth are also constantly serving others around Anchorage, and around the world. To learn more, contact our Director of Youth Ministry, Robbie Brawner.
