Kids Safety Training - August 25th 10:30-11 - Room 137. As a part of our Safe Church Policy that was updated and implemented in 2018, Erynne DeVore will be offering a safe church training to children 3 years old - 6th grade to teach emergency building procedures and safe boundaries. M& M’s (5th & 6th grade) and Youth (7-12th grade) will be enjoying the Birchwood camp together. There will be a joint activity and worship; sessions and cabins will be set up by ages.
This is a must-do retreat! Friends are invited to join us as well! We will depart St. john at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 31st to Birchwood Camp.
We will return to St. john on September 1st to worship together for the 9:15 a.m. service. Pick up will be after the service at 10:15 a.m.

Monday Morning Women is a group of diverse women in all stages and phases of life who from 9:30-11:15 a.m. on Monday mornings for book and bible studies. Join us every Monday or jump in and out as your schedule allows. Our fall kick off potluck brunch will be Monday, Sept. 9th (bring a dish to share!) and our first book will be distributed then. Girl Scout Troop 740 will hold a car wash on Sat, Aug. 10th from noon to 2 p.m. in the east church parking lot to raise money as part of our Bronze Award project to buy dog/cat food to donate to the Anchorage SPCA. Cash and food donations will be gladly accepted. Thanks for your support!
St. John is taking fresh food to Anchorage. The Food bank of Alaska's Mobile Food Pantry distributes fresh food to Anchorage families in need. Families receive healthy produce and dairy products that don't make it into their grocery budget. St. John will be supporting this mission every third Thursday of the month in the west parking lot. Join us for a fun family weekend of camping and camaraderie. July 12th-14th at Trail River Group Campground in Moose Pass. We will do a group potluck on the 13th so bring a dish to share. Show up early and join St. John as we participate along side our community. We will be meeting at 10:30 am at F Street & 8th!
This year’s Equality Parade will begin at 11 a.m. on Sat, June 29 in Downtown Anchorage. Come out and help show your Pride by cheering or marching in support of St. John LGBTQ+ Outreach team.

Peace with Justice Sunday is June 16th. We give so that all God’s children have adequate access to homes, jobs, food, clean water, health care, education and more. Just one dollar will make a huge difference. There will be special envelopes will be available in the bulletin Sunday, June 16th or you can go online to support Peace with Justice at www.stjohneagle.com give page.
Join us as we help at the track events for State Special Olympics! This is a very fun day of volunteering with athletes who are fun and happy and will fill your soul! We will be at Dimond High School track, and will assist with timing & recording! I need to turn in names this week, so please let me know that you can volunteer with us as soon as you can! This is for youth, their friends and parents as well.
